Research Team

Cassandra is currently a Microbiology Laboratory Technician in the Didar Lab, helping manufacture omniphobic surfaces and test their antibacterial activity. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Florida International University and her master’s degree in Biotechnology at the University of Guelph in 2023. Her research focused on optimizing the proliferation process of persistently quiescent cell populations for lab-grown meat production. Outside of the lab, Cassandra enjoys sewing and creating new garments from scratch. She enjoys drawing and painting as it helps relax and explore her creativity.
