Farhaan obtained a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2017 from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Biology from Western University in 2020. He focused on microbiology themes for his co-op and thesis works with specific focuses on antimicrobial resistance and fungal ecology. In the Didar and Soleymani labs, he is currently helping manufacture and test superhydrophobic surfaces against environmental and microbiological conditions. Having first stepped on the McMaster campus as an undergrad in 2012, Farhaan has explored Hamilton extensively along with almost every building on campus. Outside of the lab, he enjoys jogging and keeping up with psychology and tech.
