Kim Rivera was a third year undergraduate Bachelor of Technology student at McMaster University in the Biotechnology stream. Originally from Etobicoke, Ontario, Kim has had a passion for biology from a young age and a fascination with the ever-growing advancement of technology and its potential benefits. In Didar lab, as an undergraduate research assistant, she worked on applying omniphobic surface coatings on magnetic cell separation chips. On her spare time, she enjoys watching movies with her family, fishing in the summertime, and exploring nature. At the end of her undergraduate studies, she will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at McMaster University, as well as obtain P.Eng. status.
