McMaster Core Facilities
Dr. Didar is a member of the Institute for Infectious Diseases Research (IIDR) at McMaster University, allowing our students access to the Centre for Microbial Chemical Biology (CMCB) on McMaster’s main campus. Here, users have access to high-throughput screening technology and lab spaces specialized for chemical synthesis, proteins, NMR, mass spectrometry, and IT/Bioinformatics.
Didar Lab Equipment
With options for O2 or CO2 treatment, our PlasmaEtch system is a complete plasma cleaning system capable of plasma cleaning and etching. The chamber size at 12″ x 12″ allows for multiple samples to be treated at one time, and software tools allow for customized timing, RF power and gas selection for each treatment.
Kruss Drop Shape Analyzer DSA30S
The Drop Shape Analyzer is designed for the semi-automatic measurement of the static and dynamic contact angle and the scientific assessment of wettability by means of the surface free energy (SFE). The instrument is well-suitable for the reliable quality assurance of surface pre-treatment processes as well as the development and optimization of wetting and coating procedures. Accessories for ultrafast one-click SFE measurement as well as wetting analysis at higher temperatures enhance the spectrum of the instrument.
Nikon ECLIPSE LV100ND
The Nikon ECLIPSE LV100ND is a motorized microscope with episcopic/diascopic illumination that enables control of objectives and light intensity from camera control unit and automatically detects observation method. A manual microscope with episcopic/diascopic illumination ,which meets the various needs of observation, inspection, research, and analysis across a wide range of industrial fields.
