Akash is a first year Life Science student entering the Biochemistry program in his second year. In the Didar Lab, he is working alongside the rest of the iGEM team to conduct, and present research for the annual iGEM Jamboree in Paris. Outside of the lab, he enjoys playing sports, reading, and playing the violin.

Lucie is a first-year Life Sciences student entering the Biochemistry program. In the Didar Lab, she is working with the McMaster iGEM team to present their research and compete at the annual iGEM Jamboree in Paris! Outside of the lab, she enjoys going on hikes, singing, and reading memoirs and old novels.

Catherine (she/her) is entering her second year in Materials and Biomedical Engineering (iBioMed). She joined the Didar Lab in 2026 as a Wet Lab Member of McMaster iGEM. Her interests lie at the intersection of synthetic biology, innovation, and human connection. Outside of the lab, Catherine likes to travel, ski, and watch movies.

Rinee is entering her third year in the Chemical Biology Co-op program. She is joining the Didar Lab as a member of McMaster’s iGEM team. Outside of the lab, she likes reading and playing the guitar.

Kevin is a second-year student in the Biochemistry program. In the Didar Lab, he is working with the McMaster iGEM team to present their research at the annual iGEM Jamboree in Paris! Outside of the lab, he enjoys playing musical instruments like the piano and bass guitar.

Maggie (she/her) is an undergraduate student in Engineering Physics and Biomedical Engineering. She is interested in biomedical and healthcare research. She is currently working with bacteriophages and food safety under the supervision of Hannah. In her free time, Maggie enjoys dancing, painting, and crocheting.
